We're hiring a skilled tax professional to help clients file taxes more efficiently. You'll work with clients to prepare and file all required tax returns, help educate our business and individual clients on ways to minimize their tax liabilities and advise them on how to save more in the future. Applicants should have a detailed understanding of personal and business tax regulations at all levels of the government, be a strong communicator who can simplify complex tax information and provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:
--- Prepare personal, corporate and partnership income tax returns on time
--- Manage tax preparation workflow and client deliverables
--- Research and advise clients on tax planning strategies to reduce their tax obligation
--- Handle routine client questions and work with clients to obtain necessary information
--- Conduct tax research for unusual situations and respond to IRS notices independently and appropriately
--- Assist with training of teammates with software & support in tax issues
--- Perform complex financial analysis and budget preparation
--- Communicate client service improvement and business growth opportunity ideas
--- Assist with development and growth strategies

Qualifications:
--- Bachelor's degree in accounting/tax or equivalent work experience
--- 4+ years of business and individual tax preparation experience
--- CPA or EA license (preferred but not required)
--- Experience with tax software including UltraTax (preferred) or similar
--- Detailed understanding of business tax regulations at all levels of the government
--- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
--- Basic computer skills and familiarity with using MS Office software
--- Candidates who live in Columbus or anywhere in Ohio are preferred
