Here are the skills, knowledge, and abilities we seek for this role.Effective oral and written communication skills.Advanced knowledge of relational database management.Advanced customer service and training skills.Advanced problem-solving skills with a solution-focused approach.HMIS System Administrator experience preferred.Working knowledge of the homelessness service delivery system is preferred.Advanced skills in Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and the Internet. Experience with Business Objects and SQL preferred. What You'll Do:As the HMIS Database Manager, you will . . .Serve as primary HMIS Database Manager for the Homelessness Response System.Perform routine data quality checks and quality assurance report generation with interpretation of data.Provide appropriate individual technical assistance for HMIS site administrators by addressing and documenting issues within 24 hours of submission during business days.Prepare HMIS Database Training for group, classroom, and virtual settings.Participate in the annual review and certification of HMIS data.Update and prepare reports as needed to include required data elements.Develop and maintain HMIS Policies and Procedures Manual, Data Dictionary, HMIS Training Guide, and HMIS Training videos, as needed.Maintain complete and adequate files, records, and documents.Complete data entry for select seasonal/temporary homeless program.Other duties as assigned. For instance, Ensure there is a back-up trained for the role.Perform backup responsibilities for team members as needed.Stay abreast of current trends and practices in the field.
