Job Title: Nurse Practitioner
Location: Lancaster, OH, 43130
Duration: 3 Months to Long Term
Shift: 40 hours/week (Mon to Fri)

Job Responsibilities:
--- Monitors progress of and intervenes in the course of chronic illnesses, using ODRC policies and protocols for guidance
--- Inoculates or vaccinates against communicable diseases & prescribes medications or administers treatment of acute and chronically ill patients & performs minor surgery as training & competency allows
--- Performs routine physical exams of patients to determine control or status of chronic conditions & diagnoses new conditions
--- Evaluates patients for the necessity of specialty referral consultations inside or outside the institution & reviews said consult reports for the recommendations, approving or disapproving accordingly
--- Orders & reviews the results of laboratory, x-ray, & other diagnostic testing as appropriate
--- With the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), facilitates the completion of medical reclassification & requests for non-formulary medications as necessary
--- Performs routine & emergency medical care of patients as scheduled
--- Examines, diagnoses & treats patients within scope of practice, as identified by the State of Ohio Nursing Board, as applicable
--- Conducts rounds on infirmary patients as deemed appropriate by the CMO.
--- Cooperates with CMO medical quality oversight & accept suggestions, redirection, and guidance
