To ensure that infants, children, and adolescents receive the best outpatient care, Cleveland Clinic Children's provides patients and families with a network of pediatric services. With over 50 exam rooms divided up into 5 pods/nursing stations, this team supports all pediatric subspecialties and general pediatric patients seen at Main Campus. -A caregiver in this position works days, 7:00am-7:00pm or 7:00am-3:00pm. -A caregiver who excels in this role will: - -

• Provide nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic or therapeutic services to hospitalized patients in various healthcare settings. - -
  • Assess patients, complete nursing assessments, document findings in patient records and notify physicians of abnormal findings. - -
    • Perform telephone triage and call rotations. - -
      • Perform nursing procedures and administer treatments and medications. -
        • Establish care plans in collaboration with patients, families and the health care team. - -
          • Coordinate ongoing care, identify discharge needs and facilitate discharge planning. - -
            • Evaluate, initiate and maintain standards of care. - -
              • Educate patients and families. - -
                • Cover other nursing roles in the department. - - -Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: - -
                  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing - -
                    • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse - -
                      • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) - -
                        • One year of recent experience as an RN - - -Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: -

                            • Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
                            • Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
                            • Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
                            • Requires some exposure to communicable disease or bodily fluids.
                            • Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
                            • Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.Personal Protective Equipment:
