and adolescents receive the best outpatient care, Cleveland Clinic
Children's provides patients and families with a network of
pediatric services. With over 50 exam rooms divided up into 5
pods/nursing stations, this team supports all pediatric
subspecialties and general pediatric patients seen at Main Campus.
-A caregiver in this position works days, 7:00am-7:00pm or
7:00am-3:00pm. -A caregiver who excels in this role will: - -
- Provide nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic or
therapeutic services to hospitalized patients in various healthcare
settings. - -
- Assess patients, complete nursing assessments, document
findings in patient records and notify physicians of abnormal
findings. - -
- Perform telephone triage and call rotations. - -
- Perform nursing procedures and administer treatments and
medications. -
- Establish care plans in collaboration with patients, families
and the health care team. - -
- Coordinate ongoing care, identify discharge needs and
facilitate discharge planning. - -
- Evaluate, initiate and maintain standards of care. - -
- Educate patients and families. - -
- Cover other nursing roles in the department. - - -Minimum
qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: - -
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing - -
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse - -
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American
Heart Association (AHA) - -
- One year of recent experience as an RN - - -Preferred
qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: -
- Two years of recent experience as an RN - - -Our caregivers

- Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and
eye-hand coordination.
- Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of
time.
- Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
- Requires some exposure to communicable disease or bodily
fluids.
- Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally,
and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than
negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move
objects.
- Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light
